Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

Everybody is alone

The 'Vos Effect' (click for link)

By the end of Portsmouth Rd, Marianne Vos approaches Kingston Market Place in the 2012 Olympics Time Trial.

On her route to the 2012 Road-Race Gold Medal, Vos leads the front trio, over Kingston Bridge, in the pouring rain.

After finding the interview above, I knew that I feel myself falling, again towards this kind of atmospheric, orchestral music that seems to be born in Iceland. Bjork CDs of the 90s have been bought. I fell in love with Sigur Ros as I began my Richmond College years, climaxing in Glastonbury festival rainfalThe band performed a memorable, deep and beautiful set finishing the weekend in 2003. I am long overdue some more...

Olafur Arnalds' 'The Bottom Line' (above), and 'Woven Song' (below) are both from his new album 'Some Kind of Peace'. Deep. Beautiful.

Two legendary tunes from one of the most brilliant artists of my time...

REM 2011 - ‘Country Feedback ...Live’

Perfection cannot exist.

People fall in love with imperfections. For it is imperfections that make us all unique. Everyone may be desperate to follow a ‘fashion’, which shows a desperation to copy. As soon as something multiplies, it becomes less special. Perfections do not exist, but our strive towards it, decreases our individuality.

Be proud of yourself as you are.

No-one is the same as you.

Everybody is alone.

…Stop... Recognise that you are most definitely not insignificant or worthless, in anyway.

Everyone’s life path is a result of an endless list of different things. Your life path is not the same as anyone else, and will never be repeated.

Again.

'Your life path is not the same as anyone else, and will never be repeated.'

How SPECIAL is that?

It is therefore our duty to protect this human existence, and this unique planet.

We need to act as fairly, reasonably, and ethically, as we can. Those who end up, greedily acting alone, will suffer more.

...

It’s amazing how a hard 20 minutes on the bike (turning the pedals at 50+rpm on my indoor gym-bike), always improves my mood!

HAPPY!

So, I have an operation arranged for next Tuesday. I have been partially isolating all week, although full-isolation begins tomorrow, for the 72 hours prior the operation on Tuesday.

Tuesday's surgery will remove the 'loose-screw'. The horizontal screw was initially placed to hold the vertical 'hind-foot nail' in place. As my foot recovered from the initial surgery last year, the screw has loosened, become worthless, and has harmed my heel. Under the skin, it began protruding, and therefore halting my neuro-physiotherapy. It must be removed.
