Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

a little reminder

Humans must accept this tragic virus as a little reminder, that we are not as advanced as we tend to think we are. Yes, we have the internet (meaning we can communicate through a 2D screen), yes, we have been to another rock in space (not even a ‘planet’, but a ‘moon’). There are other things, but negligible.
Some Positives will always mean there are some Negatives...
We are fallible too, illnesses. We panic over a lack of toilet-paper! We act out our greed as individuals. There is insular warfare between groups or ‘nations’, and these silly arguments cannot continue if humanity is to progress. What is progression? The chances are that humanity may continue on for quite a while more, but are we really progressing, or has our inbuilt-individual-greed finally started to stifle us ?
We must accept that we are greedy. We take more than we can give back. Everyone does. It is our human-nature to desire more, and more. This is the problem.
Humanity needs to start paying, as it continues to take without giving!

I take this opportunity to share a couple of causes, which may not be the first you think, at this moment, but are incredibly important to humanity.
I have recently signed up to a monthly donation to ‘Medecins Sans Frontieres’ as i believe that protection of human health must be a global issue, concerning everyone. Britain is unbelievably lucky to run the NHS, and personally I know that I am forever in debt to them. British people must remember that they can only help crucially, within these national borders.  ‘Medecins Sans Frontieres’ clearly state that  their aim is to provide ’Medical aid where it's needed most. Independent. Neutral. Impartial. Funded by individuals like you.

You will probably know already that I am a Green Party member, and a member of ‘Friends of the Earth’. You should be aware of this charity, which offers help and support globally, concerning issues that we all face. Climate change is just one issue! No-one is left-out.
