Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

Only YOU CAN!

Morning Theft

A personal favourite, above.

Although above I provide a live version (which is new to me). The album version can be found on Disc 1 of posthumous album ’Sketches for My Sweetheart The Drunk’.

Below is more ‘new’ music. ’Skinty Fia’ was the third album that Fontaines DC have released since 2019. Very similar, but in my opinion the best!

Respect.

Fontaines DC were first identified on this blog in August 2018 (http://patrickgoodacre.blogspot.com/2018/08/feline-supremacy-refillable-cleaners.html)

How to cope?

...Be yourself. Only you can!

(how SPECIAL is that)?

Every human being is lucky to experience life (of any kind and any length).

People can offer help or advice, but only you know.

Only you know what is possible.

Only you will experience your life. This can be regarded both positively and negatively.

So keep your self-belief strong. With it, you will pass beyond obstacles, comfortably.

Each obstacle should be considered as a gateway. A gateway which you pass through. You may view the gateway anxiously, or with trepidation, but once you have the self-belief to progress through it, you will be able to gain just as much power equating the energy lost through your anxiety, plus more!

In your mind,

be confident of your mind. It has given you so much before, protect it, it will be able to continue to do so.
