Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

People power…

I feel that Ukraine has shown incredible togetherness, self-belief, and confidence in this tragic war that they now face. The whole world can learn from their examples of pure resilience and determination.

The whole world must remember that the people of Russia did not call for this war. It could be argued that ‘unless brainwashed by propaganda, citizens of any country, never do.’

Dmitry Reznikov is a 22-year-old student.

Russian, Reznikov simply held up a sign with asterisks in Moscow. A court convicted him of 'discrediting Russia's armed forces' and fined him 50,000 rubles ($480).

Olga Misik, another young Russian, took a more striking form to take a stance against the war. The teenage, female student brought the military to a standstill!

Thank you BBC,

A truly eye-opening summary of modern Russian politics.

It sounds a huge contrast in scale-of-importance, but the Global Coronavirus Pandemic has brought the whole world closer, tighter together. Modern technology allows us to communicate in ways we wouldn’t even have dreamed of doing, just 15 or 20 years ago!

Most of us, if not all, know of Volodimir Zelensky. Leader of Ukraine, the President leads the country in defence against Putin. Hidden away, in Ukraine with such incredible resolve, then he shows up  in The Houses Of Parliament! A video link for the first time ever, every MP united and wanted to show complete support!

Special.

above and below: a couple of BBC screenshots as Parliament applauds Zelensky.

I include a clip that I shared with my Instagram followers, yesterday.

Yet another clipping of Albert Camus’ words.

Page 211 ‘Speaking Out’ - (1956 lecture in Paris - 'The Option of Freedom')

Here, Camus gives another example of how such careless attitudes can affect so many.

Too ‘political’?

Wake up, do you have a conscience of any kind?

So the two lines, above are a cry of my concern. I realise that today’s post is almost entirely ‘political’. I do not talk about ‘me’. Politics affect everyone, those who ‘switch off’, ‘switch off’ from everyone. They miss out.

Whilst it is extremely worrying to sense such aggression, as ever, an opposite aspect can be found…
