Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

and SMILE!

I embrace my individuality now, and always have done.

I have always been ‘different’, or ‘alternative’. I have recognised myself as such. If we ever sense a danger of fearing this fact, I calmly remember that everyone is different.

  • I am different, but I am incredibly proud to be different. I have never wanted to follow, rather act as suits ME.

The Reytons, a very energetic, young rock band that sold me their EP immediately after hearing one song on 6Music! Rockin’!

Loneliness does not affect me directly, although, occasionally, fear of it does.

I know I am mentally strong enough, to recognise this fear, but also realise that it is not real yet. Fears never are real, they’re just concepts that our mind may predict. Our minds are very powerful, so we must remain ‘one-step-ahead’. We must never lose our mind to a fear that can never be real.

Live life, and experience our unique fates. This is all we must do. This is all we can do!

and SMILE!
