... a week or two old, but...?
I have to live for now. I cannot plan for anything. I cannot expect. I recognise, that understandably, no-one else wants to live like this. I cannot expect a partner.
I stop. I sense a downward spiral of gloom. One day...
One day.
One day...

The Nation is preparing itself for a ‘return to normality’!
This term is a serious mind-bender for me.
I may never return to ’normality’, but my life is now spent in the process of ‘returning’!
It can feel so depressing, but also very uplifting, that actually most people do not know what it is like to have the freedom of a physical ability taken, but hanging like ‘a-carrot-on-a-stick’…
Hence my existentialist tendencies.
Albert Camus explains this theory in the ‘Myth of Sisyphus’ http://patrickgoodacre.blogspot.com/2018/05/with-everybody.html
‘5 million on hospital waiting list.’
…A radio news headlines from last week!
The above news is a sad milestone, which correctly blurs into insignificance when followed by a news item concerning ’the never-ending conflict; in Israel.
...One should consider the entire UK population. 66million.
We must then remember the news of a ‘global pandemic’. Tragic luck.
Finally we should recognise the vast numbers of NHS staff who are not British. Yet Farage fooled the British people to vote for him in a referendum, in which he aimed to annex Britain away from its closest neighbours!
Are we really surprised?
Actually, this number may seem high, but in the circumstances, positively it could viewed as incredibly successful!
Well done NHS!
We should NEVER consider any of it’s work as ’too slow’, or ‘a failure’!
A key thought, that I held initially in hospital, post-coma. So personally precious, I have maintained it throughout all of my rehabilitation stages. It is this
‘Every human is unique. Every human brain is unique. Therefore no brain injuries can result in identical outcomes. It can be common for injured brains to be unable to do certain things, but the brain still belongs to a soul. That soul may exist forever. Live in it. Use it positively.’
This is how we all must live. Each brain is incredibly powerful, we must use them positively, to benefit as many of us as possible, not just ourselves!
Finally. Music addition. I admit that I only just bought Noel Gallagher's second album 'Chasing Yesterday' (released inn 2015)! It is superb, and I cannot actually believe that I missed it!
