Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

January 2021

We are so lucky.

Most people are not aware of the vast number of muscles combined allow humans to just walk (let alone do ANYTHING else).

It has only since been having the inability to do such, I have partially recognised just how amazingly fortunate every human is.

‘Locked down’ forever

I feel that I have been ‘locked down’, ever since my brain injury. I admit that I didn’t feel like such in the first six months. I didn’t feel much whilst comatose.

The truth is that we will only succeed if we, ourselves are willing to adapt our way of life.

Global pandemic…

There is no escape. Face facts.

Keep your mind strong. Accept facts.

Stay rational. Remain content that you are still thinking straight!

Be proud of yourself, but keep it well hidden.

Play by the rules. Everyone else is suffering from the same.

You are no different.

A very basic way of looking at the problem

Abstract way of tackling the issue…

X1 (humans) and X2 (virus)

Accept that X2 may always exist, as is (it may be permanent).

X1 and X2 cannot live a full life together.

X2 cannot change, therefore X1 must change, to continue on.

If X2 is not permanent, our previous life may return (with minor adaptations)

... just playing by the rules!

(Humans must learn to adapt to a new way of life).

It is hard, troublesome, and may be more difficult to our previous way of life.

But, it is a way of life!!

All of humanity must remember how lucky we are.

If humanity does not find a way out, then so be it.

The whole concept of human existence is surreal anyway.

We have been so lucky to exist.

Ditch the tube

At last, we have a viable alternative. We do not need to consume tubes of toothpaste!

Toothpaste tubes are a man-made compound of non-biodegradable materials. They will exist forever.

Fancy avoiding littering our planet permanently?

Use toothpaste tablets!!!
