Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

123456789... 10!

I had previously explained that the first post on this blog is dated as 20th December 2010.

TEN YEARS OLD!

I had never envisaged that it would last so long, as I really had no expectations.

My Acquired Brain Injury was back in 2006, awakening from coma in 2007, but this blog started life in 2010!

10 years

654 published posts

170,125 pageviews

Statistics were identified yesterday 20/12/20

and here we are!

I am still the same the person. My personal goals and targets have been worked on, with humungous endeavour. Many of which remain, maybe forever more.

Hospital life or Lockdown life... I am fed up living ‘life on hold’. Atleast in rehabilitation, you know that you are progressing. To be totally honest, living (just) in a hospital bed, is similar to living in Lockdown. You wake up, you do nothing, you go to sleep. However this IS life

:)

Oh, MERRY Christmas...

It is 30 minutes past noon when I type this on today, 21st of December (the shortest day of the year)!

Summer is on its way!

Sunglasses, sun cream not yet!

Smiles ALWAYS!
