Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

some positivity

 Brits, remember…

If there is one culture in the world, that should be comfortable with Social-Distancing, it is ours, in Britain!

My life is still very different to most other people. This blog has been alive for the past 10 years. I have held it close to me whilst it has reached world-wide. Life in my rehabilitation-home (2007-2010) was spent with focus on escape, almost total! I pushed a number of issues aside,

‘I will find employment and a girlfriend, once I’m out of here.’

I can remember laying in hospital in 2007, contemplating the harsh facts I would have to face.

‘Employment and girlfriend must take a back-seat whilst I have Physiotherapy and recover physically. I will not be employed whilst I employ a wheelchair. No girl will be attracted to a wheelchair. I am not, so I cannot expect anyone else to be.’

Although my physical ability has improved drastically since then, and continues to (apart from last year), the two key areas remain largely untouched! I work voluntarily for the Green Party. This brings me great joy, and pride to offer my services for such valuable humans!

I have strictly told myself to stop complimenting females, as I did. Each smile that I created would bring me joy, but I can do no more. It saddens me, but it is hard to expect attraction, when one is not even visually attracted to themselves. I must rely on my mind, again!

Restrictions from Saturday!

OK, so Boris is taking Coronavirus seriously...

But lets wait until the weekend, to introduce these 'important restrictions'

What!!!?

Board-game ‘Risk’ must be on the Eton syllabus. The whole notion of ‘divide and conquer’ is alarming!

Anyway, why the entire British nation can’t be considered as ‘a whole’, does baffle me.

Boris fails to understand basic, logical, rules.

Conclusive evidence cannot be found by testing at such random selection.

The whole population may be dismayed at another ‘period of restrictive suggestions’ (not a proper lockdown). Yet, what can be learnt from a population facing such a wide variety of restrictions?

Realistically, I don’t think any of us predict success.

My only conclusion can be that such a result, or valuable/vital information, is just not wanted. The complete embarrassment of the Tory ‘Track and Trace’ system, is yet further proof of more sheer incompetence or just another Tory lie. Organisations that are truly searching hard to develop a vaccine, must be giving up. How can they learn anything if everyone is living in different conditions?

Down to 3 per day

So, I have decided to cut down on the quantity of coffee that I drink! Five or Six shots of espresso per day, is too much!

I see absolutely no reason to go ‘Cold-Turkey’ (complete ban), but I am well aware that recently has increased to this high-level.

Too much of anything is bad.

Less is more!

I started this restriction yesterday. One shot is allowed morning, one midday, and one evening. I expect it to grow over time, but I am always careful!

Had to include this paragraph, as it will act as a referee, enforcing the rule!!!

And then I find this…

Three cups of coffee a day 'may have health benefits' - BBC News

In a mad, mad, CRAZY world, and everyone has an excuse to feel a little lost, and confused at

the moment…

So some positivity…
