Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

...is widely known

Hello, I am typing this post after typing a very brief start to my new blog ‘Small Steps’ (https://make-smallsteps.blogspot.com). My idea is to share various sustainable solutions to household issues. It is a live blog, so it will develop and grow in time. There are a number of product ideas/ solutions, that as an ‘ethically aware’ blogger, i feel the need to share with you!

My first ‘Music share’ this post , isn’t exactly such. Rachel Sermanni is a wonderful Scottish, singer-songwriter. She offers a gateway to much of the philosophy behind her art, through these podcasts. A truly wonderful podcast, which i share with y’all!
Thank you Rachel ;)

So, I am 36 this year. My life has taken a twisty, complicated path for the previous 14 years, but a path that has  developed independence. So I live alone. I have an incredible family, and a wonderful set of friends. Everyone else relies on the support of their partner. I do not. I cannot wish to either. I am here. I forever want more (of course i do), but then ‘i take a step back’, and recognise that I am, in-fact,  just like everyone else in desiring more.

I bought a couple of pictures last week. No 2020 cycling season, means I begin to compensate somehow…
Thank you

The danger is, if you cannot mentally cope with suffering, then you will lose big. Should you live your life in a fluffy, happy, perfect world, then the fall will hurt you even more. You will fall. Everyone falls. Remember, ‘perfection cannot exist’. The more attempts that you make, to reach perfection, then the more you lie to yourself as well as to others. A lie always becomes uncovered at some point, and you will be viewed by people, as such. A liar is a cheat.

‘Caffeine is widely known to improve performance. We don't recommend high doses every time you train, but as with fuelling, try to use your time cycling indoors to experiment with how your gut reacts to caffeine prior to - and during - exercise.’
Oh! Really?!… if THEY suggest it!…
(I have long been an avid reader of cyclingnews.com, for at least 20years)

This is a link to the bandcamp.com website, which not only do i believe to be the best way of purchasing music, currently, but also provide a weekly show!
