Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

Controversial...

I am co-running our 'Kingston Green Party Social Media'. I urge you to take a regular look, and follow if desired.

‘Our relationship with the natural world is changing as this crisis strips away the layers between humans and the surroundings we used to be too busy to take in. The outdoors, once something glimpsed from a train window, has become somewhere to relieve the anxiety and sometimes let out the grief.’ - Gaby Hinsliff, The Guardian, Saturday 9th May 2020

The outdoors is much deeper than just a train window.

Victory’ suggests a winner. No-one wins a war. One side loses less than the other.
VE Day must be remembered and celebrated correctly. It was the end of a World War! Such Nationalistic pride that is still found, does puzzle me. Yes, we had reached the end, because of a number of key countries were victorious against a number of enemy countries. None can say they succeeded alone. Such horrendous loss of human-life everywhere, shows that no-one gained from the war, but everyone lost.

Controversy…

National flags of every country should be scrapped. Why?
Repetitive visual communication amongst all global citizens that there are global divisions, is wrong. Humanity has progressed, we must stop living through divisive history. We are one. Sport uses different  nations, as a way of creating teams. This may be continued as everyone will slowly realise, that we are all the same. We have to progress together, we have done the whole ‘World War thing’ twice, and as long as this Earth houses segregated groups, they will compete for whatever they can get FOR THEMSELVES, ONLY THEMSELVES. We are greedy. It is human nature to desire more progress. Humanity cannot progress, stuck like this, chopped up in to pieces. Stop reminding us that ‘we are different’, we are not. Zoom out. Take a step back. We are all just Humans.
This virus unites EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE!

Second controversial point, is not my idea, but I am a strong supporter of it.
Cemeteries are currently full of decaying tombstones. Some graves show incredible wealth of the owner, family, or whoever! However wealth is not just gold and silver. Planting a tree or shrub or something alive, sustains life and purpose. We all know that vegetation uses photosynthesis to turn Carbon-Dioxide into Oxygen. You will not find a more productive process. We recognise now, that currently we are part of an unsustainable society. However, few people recognise how serious the problem is. Surely, those who ‘leave us’ or ‘pass on’ wish to maintain a positive affect on our planet?…
By acting in such a productive way, you are indirectly becoming part of life’s chain, you will be affecting future life positively forever more. This is how you can live forever.
