Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

sustain or die.

Steps up to a front door...
People still flaunt them! Using a wheelchair myself, perhaps I am more aware of these. Totally inaccessible, residents obviously do still feel this medieval requirement to elevate themselves amongst society. They may as well have a moat and a drawbridge! Inviting...
Pffteh!
They perhaps do not realise that accidents can happen to everyone. Residents cannot be forever certain of either their own, or their friends’ ability. It is quite possible that they don’t have any friends (they have cut themselves from society too far...).
Why does my mind now think of Brexit?

...OK...
I’m calm now!

Essentially our life is a continuous series of moments. Just live for every moment. Make sure you are enjoying it, or ensure that someone else is (recognise this and you will end up feeling this positivity, yourself too). Think ahead but do not plan ahead. One may think that they can design the future, 100% accurately, but the wonder of life, is that NOTHING  is certain. Let yourself dream, but live your life path. You will recognise, along the way, how lucky and positive things are for you. Just continue to the next corner. Again, and again. The strength gained by looking back on your path-covered, will boost you to reach the next turning-point.
Things are getting better! Realise this by altering your focus, until you find it. Once you do, concentrate your attention on it. Focus in and let yourself feel happy and energised by the positivity.

Insanely hard sprint session on my gym-bike, in my flat for 15minutes

Why espresso?

Drip coffee allows the coffee grounds to sit in water, drawing out not only all of the chemicals way down in the bean, but also the "bad" caffeine -- and that with espresso through its rapid brewing process, you don't get all of the harsh chemicals and it pulls out only the "good" and "pure" caffeine. It is the "bad" caff. that gives you the jitters, and the good is more of the pure stimulant effect and mind alertness.

We should all be aware. The global fear due to the Coronavirus, is a perfect time for a government to release bad, painful, negative news of their failures. As populations become obsessed by a single piece of news (which is already massive, but has been hyped up further by the media), governments will seize this opportunity to release some horrendous news, but it will remain hidden.

My hero writes...
Ivan Basso’s Instagram post describes an Italian’s fear, yet hope, for the future...

George Monbiot speaks such sense. Please watch, and do not be put off, in any way.  A five-minute piece, which may begin to sound complex, but it is not. Pay attention, and he will give you so much.
Capitalism is this planet’s cancer

Sustain or die...
Infinite growth cannot exist anywhere but conceptually, in our minds.
All inhabitants of this earth must accept this. Stating the obvious, but why do people choose to ignore sustainable solutions? Ignorance is the only possible answer...
... Believe it or not, there must be too many people, among us who do not know of the environmental catastrophes possibly facing Earth in the years close-ahead.
There are world leaders who are reminiscent of foolish cartoon-characters. Would you trust an animated duck to guide the whole planet towards safety together?
We cannot afford anymore, to fight ourselves, there is a much more dangerous battle ahead. If we lose, everyone loses forever.
Infighting is a damaging waste of everything we have.

I complete this post on Friday 13th March. I turned the corner, having left my flat this morning, and find this obstacle facing me...

...After taking the photo, I realised the time of day (before midday), I did not want to pass under the ladder on a Friday 13th, so I negotiated a very small patch of pavement on the kerb edge. I survived! :)
