Welcome to my blog. I post on this, roughly once a week (it does vary). I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

Apocalyptic silence

Truthfully, last week, at the start of the 2019 calendar, I felt that there were plenty of things that could be ‘posted on my Blog’. I am so glad that I have kept this blog alive.
I NEED this blog
Alive, but it will probably continue at a slower rate.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
2019... Wow!
I leave my flat on Tuesday morning (New Year’s Day). Apocalyptic silence all around, is weird and unnerving. This is a totally surreal experience, but lets us feel lucky, by realising much of what we have become used too. We all take life for granted.

A super newspaper article on the only MP who deserves such incredible respect, during this disastrous Brexit failure.
Caroline Lucas, uses an old law of carpentry as an analogy for what Britain must do when making such a huge decision.
Measure twice. Cut once.

Let’s face it. Our planet is suffering. It may act like a wounded beast, we cannot know. We have hurt it, and continue to do so. We little more than hope.
All we can do, is increase public awareness, and act responsibly ourselves.
Please do your bit!…

Mathieu Delarue (Main character in Jean-Paul Sartre’s ‘Roads to Freedom’ trilogy), shows a wonderfully deep, but succinct period of self-reflection…

Page 172 of ‘Iron in  the Soul’.
Deep. Sartre explains that we all may be feeling these varying emotions, which all have opposites, but we are ‘just like everybody else’.

2018 archive added

Below is a link to my recently updated archive. There is now a 2018 section. All weekly post titles are provided.
Blogspot is NOT a web design package. Infuriating, as the colours are mixed up!

Beware of reaching too close to your ‘heaven’. Heaven is a different place for everyone. Humans all have desires, targets, or goals but keep moving them. If you ever get too close to heaven, you risk becoming trapped.

I met the bloke who invented the window sill…Absolute ledge!!!

Kathryn Joseph - From When I Wake The Want Is
Magical, mystical female with such sincere vocal powers, often haunting sounds are provided by the album.

Bandcamp - ’Prodigiously talented and criminally underrated; Kathryn is one of Scotland's best-kept secrets. Her voice possesses the other-worldly quality comparable to Ms Newsom and Björk; but she is by no means of an ilk. Better compared with Anthony Heggarty; she is an artist in every way; unique and soulful, and at the core a beautiful unnerving truth.’
