Welcome to my blog. I post on this, roughly once a week (it does vary). I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

the baffled king, composing...

I shall forever be astonished by everyone else's misery in the rain!
I feel that rainfall, can have the ridiculous effect of 'levelling the playing field', slightly. Everyone else has faces of complete misery. I smile because I feel relatively content. Rainfall is just water.
&£%#!? English people SHOULD NOT BE SCARED OF THE RAIN!
The place turns to mayhem when the public run like terrified babies, for shelter, away from grey clouds!
Keep calm, carry on.

The date goes...
 March 17...2 months….
Those with an eagle-eye will notice that the weekly calendar, disappeared from this blog last week. It lasted whilst I was awaiting a response from my MP, Tory, James Berry. You can all find my original letter to him on this blog, dated March 17th. Two months, no response... ... Conservative MP. No surprise!

Global stability is a necessity, in order for the entire world (all of us) to tackle the biggest problem we have ever faced. We cannot break-up into small groups. This problem needs to be faced by us all together.
It is our responsibility to do what we can and provide what we can, to the rest of our continent and our world. Climate change cannot be tackled by Britain alone. We have no choice but to face this problem, we must remain part of the EU in order to tackle it successfully.
Farage, Johnson, Gove, Trump and LePen have all got where they are now, by cheap scaremongering. Brexit merely unites them and continues to use this nasty political route. British people must not give in. We must show them that we cannot be played for fools! Please.

Proud to be Green! :)

Psychological strength is needed.
Above, I state of how I have to face my life at the moment. Over five and a half years, I have been living independently, and nothing...
I discount the previous four years, I know that I was living in rehabilitation. I needed it, I was young, determined, and successful.
Now I live life, I am forced to accept my fate. Nothing happens.
I am fed up of having to twist things from the despair of negative reality, into positive, dreamlike fantasy.

Sad and lonely old man at 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31!
Luck. If you search for it, you will not find it. Things that are supposed to happen, will just happen. Human free will is not as strong as fate! This can hurt, but we must learn to accept, and our fate can be regarded as an amazing positive!

Sunday 29TH May marks the 19th anniversary of the death of the greatest musician of them all.

I only smoke...

I am always excited when Alejandro Valverde attacks, usually meaning victory! Victor of the 'Queen of the Classics' (Liege-Bastogne-Liege) in 2007,  amongst countless other races. I watched with much anticipation as he attacked Vincenzo Nibali, in the current Giro D'Italia, on the famous 'Strada Bianche'. A screenshot was snapped.

Valverde on Strada Bianche to Arezzo stage 8

Today's stage, my favourite rider, Moreno Moser.

I am smiling but I am lying.
A smile hides things. It can easily, completely mask negative feelings.
I made the above note whilst my feeling of anguish, embroiled me earlier this week. As it is fairly self-explanatory, I don't want to delve back, explaining. I smile to be polite, but do I actually feel so positive all of the time?

Lower than average page views, this past week, ensure that I reflect upon last week's post. I apologise if you all viewed it as too negative. However I stand behind it with pride. I am just being honest. I keep true to the rules of this blog.

Rubbish joke fails me!
Hehehe. It is lucky that I don't believe in 'Internet dating', because I am rubbish at it! People need to see my face to understand that I tell pathetic jokes. This girl declined me, because she thought that I smoked. My profile statement explained that
'I only smoke when I am on fire!' I then apologise in the statement for the poor joke, and arguing that 'the old ones are the best'!
To misunderstand, such a shame, but maybe that is a warning sign for me!

Laissez faire
Very much my attitude towards most things, for the past ten years (since my accident). All of us must accept that 'what will be, will be' .
For much of the first two-thirds of my life, I had been taught how to design and plan things. This is very true, good and important, but living with this 'new attitude'  is so much more fun, true, and effective. Just live life and enjoy it. You cannot design life.

The Kills new album out June 3rd.

if you float...

Monday morning, the week begins, my first note is made. Perhaps this note has partly induced my current mood
Sorry if you take offence, none intended, but...

Monday morning, Everyone else lives the same life pattern
I feel so different and ostracised sometimes
I know that I am wrong to feel like this, but I have known this for almost a third of my life!
Whether you like this, or not 'you are all the same'. You all live the same lives. There is minimal variance.

I'm not living, I'm just killing time
;)

Ten years ago, I lived.
I had everything. It had to stop, I guess.
I stopped, re-started. Memories are all I have.  I must accept that I have lived.
I am proud of where I am now, but cannot share my joy with anyone. Realistically, I am still in a bad place, no-one really wants to experience. The closest I am allowed to get with anyone, is by sharing a smile.
"Aaah, the crippled, disabled man in the wheelchair is smiling at me. I suppose I should smile back!"...
Then our relationship is over. Never to be found again.

If you float, you'll burn
;)

New Radiohead…
;)

Attempted purchasing at release time.
A big fan, loving their music for most of my life, I have remained a loyal fan, owning various 'limited edition' copies of releases. Their previous album (The King Of Limbs), was the first album that I bought on MP3, I had previously bought music CDs and copied them onto my computer. I was determined to 'play by the rules' again, so wanted to buy the new album, 'A Moon Shaped Pool' at the time of release. I was attempting, foolishly, to buy the album, through my mobile phone, whilst eating a 'Sunday roast dinner' with family. I waited until I purchased it a couple of hours later (I was reminded by my family that I am NOT A CHILD ANYMORE)!
True love waits.

Instant favourite tune is this new version of the old tune (originally released mid-nineties, never on a studio album).
I love the fourth track, starting with classical guitar. Brilliant.

ZLATAN - 11 titles in 14 seasons
I was watching Bordeaux Vs Paris Saint Germain, last week, resulting in an equilibrium draw. He opened the scoring, his team already champions, but I was informed by the commentator that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won 11 title campaigns in 14 seasons, in various countries!
Insane!
News, this morning he announced that he will be moving away from PSG, this summer. Hmm....

Closer... (part B)

This is the second part of 'today's post'. We are closer to final result from the London Election (yesterday).

As an active member of the Green Party, I am more than satisfied with the movement that is being instigated by our party. It is an almighty shame that the citizens of London (and to a lesser extent, Britain) have to live under a two-party system. However, living in a democracy does mean that people can have their say. Whether they like it or not, everyone benefits from having a 'Green side', and so all parties want to be on our side! We will forever be on the outside (perhaps), but ALWAYS in existence. Maybe not voted into power, but always heavily influencing who is in power.

Final results have not been announced, for the Mayoral election. I breath a sigh of relief though, as it is looking good for Labour (therefore bad for Conservatives). A 'two-horse race'. Earlier, i did explain my anguish at not putting Sadiq on my second vote. I am sorry if my political beliefs conflict with yours, you can always learn (read a few history books)! I am not sorry if you voted Conservative, my political beliefs will ALWAYS OPPOSE yours. There is a line, Conservatives cross with pride, veering further and further right. Right is wrong. Deal with it.

I did not have time to write this earlier, as i was at the lonely record store in Kingston 'Beggars Banquet'. Why? A very small, live, acoustic set performed by The Duke Spirit.
Decent, a very decent performance from the very tight four-piece.

 Released today, album 'Kin'.
Signed, of course ;)

Anticipation... (part A)

May 6

My first note is describes something of supreme importance. Something to which around everything else revolves. Supreme power.
Sun on May 1st
I feel an uneasy smile induced
I am delighted by the sunny weather, around us in the past week. At first I wore an uneasy smile due to having the inbuilt knowledge that an opposite to EVERYTHING, exists somewhere at sometime. By experiencing such good weather, means that our experience of 'normal' weather will be more negative.

I am English, therefore I always discuss the weather, first off. I alarm myself as weather discussion even precedes celebration of a new Radiohead track, this week!

I am not 18 anymore. Times have changed, and my life has changed, and I was not told of this by Thom Yorke on Twitter, or through the Radiohead website, but through a Facebook friend (thank you Mark)!

May Day Bank Holiday, 1 year ago…
I recognised whilst at 'our stand' this year, that it was a year ago that I had joined the Green Party, leafleting in central Kingston. I remember, last year, noticing the leaflets that I was giving out and setting myself a future target for my design-work.

Mission accomplished (and surpassed).

My second newsletter was handed out.

Whilst on the topic of 'politics', my next note satisfies me. People who choose to vote for him, deserve no respect at all.
discourteous school-kid / piece of ****
abcdefgCijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

I voted yesterday, for Sian Berry. As you all probably realise, I am a keen/strong supporter. I did not place a secondary vote as I explained that I wouldn't previously, on this blog. I admit though that I wish I had given my secondary choice to Sadiq. I cannot bear the thought of Zac Goldsmith, especially as Mayor! I have to try so hard to hide this disgust, if talking to a supporter. No results yet, but I await with great anticipation.

The Kills - Heart of a dog
...new album 3rd June :)

My inability to plan for anything which I have dreamt for in my life, saddens me. I have to live for ‘now’. I have done so for the past ten years. Good things happen, bad things happen, but I still find it very hard to be unable to plan anything. I was always quietly confident of having a successful love-life, but now, five-years on from my rehabilitation-home, living independently, and STILL NOTHING!
Yes, I can make ‘friends’, easy, but nothing else. I look in the mirror and am not surprised. People should able to look in the mirror and find themselves attractive.
