Sir Isaac Newton’s laws of motion and conservation of energy
Potential Energy = Kinetic Energy
MGH = 0.5 M(Vsquared)
mass x 9.81 x height = half of (mass x velocity squared)
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Perhaps the most important mathematical law for me to learn as a student, is stated above. It should be noted that ‘Mathematics’, ‘Physics’, and ‘Design and Technology’ were the three A-Levels I attained (Philosophy, only AS-level).
Fortunately all proved very, very useful in further education and later. As you can probably tell, I regularly fall back on this notion, psychologically as well.
Newton states that for all motive objects, energy equates. Potential Energy equals Kinetic Energy (a ball at the top of a slope has ‘Potential Energy’, which matches the energy it has at any point during it’s descent or 'Kinetic Energy').
This law applies on Earth, where ‘G’ (Force due to Gravity) is measured as 9.81). .
M = mass in Kilograms
V = velocity in Metres per Second
Basically, we can conclude that in two opposing states (‘static’ or ‘in motion’) energy values are identical. Things equate.
It may seem gibberish, but it is such an essential concept, and proving that things equate in opposing states.
Cycling was giving me too much.
The above issue is a definite influence on my psychology, both now and a long time pre-accident.
An international charity that I support, and want to promote. We may feel fortunate in whichever country we are, but must recognise that this whole world is one. We must provide aid to whoever needs it, wherever they be.

This past weekend has seen the 25th birthday of the greatest album ever… Radiohead’s ‘OK Computer’
Admittedly it took me a while to properly discover it, as I was still a 12 year old, when released. I rapidly fell in love, whilst learning to play ‘Karma Police’ and ‘Lucky’ on guitar. Throughout my teenage years, I became obsessed!
16 years since 2006,
What a year!?
Gulp
Although I had graduated from University in 2005, I did further study Graphic Design, part-time, whilst working part-time, cycling, and visiting my girlfriend (a student in Birmingham). I was 21 turning 22, I had successfully crammed so much in. Maybe too much, as the autumnal October decided to stop me.
Sometimes I get fed up of maintaining my positive attitude. It’s not hard or difficult to maintain. I’m just blocking out negativity. I live almost constantly, with a smile. I know how lucky we all are.
As soon as I consider a basic fact in which I am forced to recognise a harsh reality, my mind views my existence with alarm!
The world turns, we all age.
I am also lucky that I have no regrets. I review things, can see misfortune or mistakes but I can always understand and agree with decisions that I have made.
Obviously I can recognise that unfortunate outcomes may have happened, but I accept these whilst content that my intentions have always been correct.
‘Shit happens’.
I’m sat by the riverside, on a sunny weekend, as I type these couple of notes!
I long for a partner.
As I note that past sentence, my mind frazzles. I need a wheelchair (basic fact).
I want to walk with my girlfriend. Both of us can stop and kiss each other at any moment.
The sun is shining.

A superb interview/podcast which I was given to listen.
Wow! Thank you.
It means so much to hear someone in a very similar position to me, voicing her very level-headed views and opinions.
I seriously recommend to all readers of this blog...!
