Welcome to my blog. It varies how regular I write posts here. I sustained a 'Traumatic Acquired Brain Injury', and a six month coma from a 'road traffic accident' whilst cycling, in October 2006. I spent the following 4 years (22-26yrs old), in a combination of hospitals and rehabilitation homes. Now, I have been living independently in Surbiton, England since October 2010. This blog begun life in December 2010, as i realised that there are many people worldwide that i want to share experiences with. I know that, as a wheelchair user, I am obviously not as mobile as i wish, so, use the internet to connect to you. I enjoy letting my thoughts represent through type. I type honestly. As numerous readers, as well as email recipients, will understand, I find typing to be very therapeutic. Thank you :)

insegnando

I discovered this super band through 6Music, and then immediately shared my discovery of Fontaine’s DC, with yourselves, via this blog...

August 2018

Debut album ‘Dogrel’ was released last year. My favourite of 2019.

‘An Irish rock band, oozing attitude. Alternative, tight. Rock’n’roll with attitude, that few can replicate with such quality music throughout.’ ... I told you!

Last week, ‘A Hero’s Death’, the second, follow-up album, was released!

Amazingly, after purchasing it through bandcamp.com on the day of release, I was invited to be part of a special audience at a live show!

Fontaines D.C. - A Night at Montrose, Dublin

The band performed live the entire album, in Dublin, shown live through YouTube.

They are definitely one of the tightest and most solid, current, rock bands. Again, I could begin to sense how very surreal watching ‘live’ music, streamed online, is. I feel empathy for bands who do such, as you realise  how bands feed from the audience...

No audience? ... Very difficult.

Well done Fontaine’s DC, new album?..Quality throughout!

Sto insegnando a me stesso.

Since we have been experiencing 'lockdown-like' rules, in this country, I revised, relearned and furthered my knowledge of Italian language! I feel that I have improved quite a lot.

I have been teaching myself.

Domani (tomorrow)!…

Usually this race 'La Primavera' opens the season, in March. A 'Sprinter's classic', but who knows this year?!

I still do not know who the goal-scorer was but I have to share this quality piece of football

A must, for Arsenal fans...

Today was hot. I was prepared, and personally I felt fine, although I realise that for some, it was too hot.

Experiencing cycling in the French Alps, mid-summer, prepared me well (14 years ago, but it still worked)!

... a couple of warning signs (as ever)!...

Never Again

06/08/1945

Thursday  marked the 75th anniversary of perhaps the single, most evil atrocity ever. In a single moment, everyone (including all future generations) were to live in fear. Hiroshima.
