We must stay awake!

Initial recovery left my mind working so hard.

Only now do I read about the philosophy of René Descartes, sensing similarities with the problem that I faced.

After waking up, I rapidly had understood my situation, as I was surrounded by everyone informing  me about my disability. I am lucky, I had foreseen this. I loved cycling so much, it gave me so much, I recognised that there is always a flip side’.

I remember trying to think about my injury, logically.

...Ok, firstly we have a brain. All are unique anyway. All accidents are unique. Therefore all outcomes from a brain injury are unique. This meant that there are no definite solutions...

I knew Descartes’ ‘cogito ergo sun’ (I think, therefore I am). Only I would be able to understand myself. Yes, I obviously received help and guidance from many vital doctors and therapists, but I have forever remained with self-belief and therefore a relative self-confidence. I have always known what I can do, and I what I cannot.

As years have progressed, these characteristics have remained throughout...

I have always known of my situation, striving to maintain the approach of a level-head (injured, but ‘level’)! I know that if I were to self-review the past 15 years differently, I don’t know where I’d be!

As I boarded the bus, an older woman was pulling the empty buggy out of ‘the wheelchair space’. There was room for me now. I thanked her.  She got off a few stops later. The buggy was not hers.

Hmmm, puzzled!

One stop from the end of my journey. A mother and young daughter reached the bottom of the stairs. As she got the buggy ready, she turned to me, excusing herself.

‘Oh, I forgot the buggy!’

Utter disbelief! I was fuming (inside). So I simply sarcastically reminded her, before she left the bus…

‘Don’t forget the baby!’

I supply the above link to remind everyone of the horrors that risk to be forgotten, whilst Boris departs without showing a shadow of guilt regarding the damage he has done.

Although the Conservatives now battle themselves for any chance of power, Britain MUST STAY AWAKE.

Everybody here wants you

An iconic Jeff Buckley tune that was just this afternoon, heard in the coffee shop. As I was sat at the back, I was quietly singing along to every word. I have never heard this played on the radio, let alone the coffee shop that I am regularly in!

Wow. Thumbs up SURBEANTON!

Ok, another tune which I heard on 6Music this morning!
I share because I want to leave you a bit more upbeat, as we enjoy the nice sunny weather!
